From Father to son. For over 35 years, my dad has worked as a stonemason always coming home dirty and tired, but proud of the work he'd done. He was always his own boss and he built the house I grew up in. He was a craftsman, entrepreneur and a businessman. I grew up working most summers with him and my brother mixing cement, moving rock and learning the value of hard work through the hot summer days.

But, my father always wanted more for me, so he pushed me to go to college, hoping I could build a future with less wear on the body. So I did — I graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in commercial real estate. But the more time I spent behind a desk, the more I realized that wasn’t my path. I missed the satisfaction of working with my hands — of building something real.

I joined a deck crew in Athens, Georgia, and rediscovered the pride of a finished project and the fulfillment of honest labor. That experience led me back home, where I started working full-time with my dad to learn the deeper side of the trades — not just how to build, but how to run a business rooted in trust, communication, and integrity.

With his support, I launched Lionsgate Outdoors — my first company — as a way to bring together everything I’d learned: the precision of carpentry, the timelessness of stone, and the character my father always embodied.

The name Lionsgate carries a special meaning. Around the time I was discovering my place in the trades, I traveled through Europe with my fiancée. I was deeply inspired by the craftsmanship of ancient Rome, Florence, and especially Greece . In Mycenae, we visited the Lion’s Gate, the entrance to a Bronze Age citadel built over 3,000 years ago. I remember standing there looking at it thinking, ”In the end, this is the symbol I want my life to represent”. I didn’t know at the time how but I was sure it would play a role in my journey forward. And when the opportunity came to start my company the name hit me right away.

Lionsgate Outdoors is a continuation of a family tradition and a commitment to honesty, integrity, and craftsmanship in every project we take on — from fencing and decking to patios, hardscapes, and more. We build with purpose.
